Slab Piers

  • Before Pier
  • After Pier

American Foundation & Basement Repairs, LLC provides slab piers for settling or sinking concrete slab repair in your home. A settling concrete slab can trigger serious structural problems inside a home, and one of the best ways to repair and level the slab is with a pier system. An individual might observe signs including trip hazards, cracks on drywall, and doors which don't close and open correctly, all of which reveal a slab settlement problem. We provide slab leveling solutions to the Knoxville, Chattanooga, Asheville, Johnson City, and Cookeville areas.

Many foundation problems including slab settlement issues are generally brought on by changing soil conditions underneath the slab. Drying and shrinking of soils because of HVAC systems is among the most typical causes, together with soil consolidation because of badly compacted fill soils during construction. Weather also has a big influence among these slabs- conditions varying for each season. As soil shrinks and expands in extreme conditions, over time this will cause the ground to become unstable, mould, and shift into an uneven terrain. This factor is usually a result over a long period time and not immediate. If you catch it early on it can be resolved fast & easily with slab piers, and save your home from other future problems.

Our Fast & Easy Slab Piering Process

Our slab pier system uses steel pier underpinning sections which are set up deep into the soil beneath the slab to shift the weight of the slab to dependable strata. After the piers are set up, you may also lift the slab back to a level position. Installation of these slab piers enables you to repair your settled slab quickly, without having to take away the existing slab and any wall surfaces in the area.
