Crawl Space Sump Pumps

American Basement has crawl space waterproofing solutions that fit every need. If you need simple ways to boost the value of your house, a crawl space sump pump is a great place to begin. Why? They help keep your crawl space dry all year round. With a dry crawl space, you don't need to be worried about mold developing in this place beneath your home. We provide crawl space sump pumps to the entire Knoxville, Asheville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, and Cookeville areas all year. It's important to protect your house from mold since it may cause a variety of unwanted problems for both your family's health and well-being and for the structural integrity of your house.

Mold may cause health issues which range from: breathing problems, headaches, nausea, allergies, and a variety of other issues you should not need to deal with. Mold could also endanger the structural integrity of your house by causing the wooden supports to rot.

How Does It Work?

Crawl Space Sump Pump System

Crawl space sump pumps work by collecting and pumping the built-up water outdoors, keeping the inside of your house dry. Like anything with movable components, these pumps ought to be routinely checked to make sure that it is in working order and is efficient. A clogged pump or one with a dead battery or loose cables does not do a great deal of good. Experts suggest getting your pump looked over at least one time each year before the harsh seasons. When the pump is combined with an effective encapsulation system your home can be very well protected from crawl space water problems.

Thunder Storms & Battery Backups

Some homeowners already have a sump pump, but it could be finicky and occasionally fall short during storms and power outages, and this is the reason why it's wise to have a battery backup sump pump set up for your crawl space. When it loses power, you lose the pump also. What if you decide to go on vacation, and, when you are gone, your house is hit with heavy flooding that your primary pump cannot manage? In cases such as these, a battery backup pump can save the day. With a battery backup sump pump, you are able to stay protected 24/7, even throughout the worst storms, heaviest floods, or when your primary pump does not switch on or simply isn't doing the job. A battery backup pump also consists of a charging system which will recharge the battery once power has been recovered.
